Wbli topic this morning
The topic was about LOVE not the love you feel when you are married we all have that but they said that a survey said after 2 years of being with a person the butterflies and excitement goes away meaning when you were dating you were excited because he would write loves letters or open a car door for you things like that! things they dont do anymore after being married. now does everyone who is married still have that feeling or has it gone away! I love my dh yes but i dont get the butterflies anymore but he is my world.

I have to say, after 9 1/2 years of being together (of which we will be married 2 years on 9/3) yes, I do still get butterflies. Not every day or even every week but there are moments where I feel like I did when we first met and I fall in love all over again.

I think what you are trying to ask is do I still get butterflies when I see my Husband?
If so, the answer is yes.
Not every time, but there are times when I can see him across a room and I get butterflies and a tremendous sense of satisfaction and love.
Of course, there are other days when I want to hit him with my car, but those are few and far between!

Im married 6 and 1/2 years and yes, I still do get those butterflies. He can be doing something so simple or even just calling on the phone and I do get them. Not every single day, but I'd have to say a few times a month.

Also completely agree. Of course it isn't everyday, that isn't realistic. Love definitley changes, my love for DH is not the same as it was in the beginning ( 9 yrs. ago) but it isn't less, just different. I'm more secure, comfortable now and then it was new/exciting. Hope this makes sense.

I heard them talking about this and when I first heard the question before they gave that 2 yr mark... I was thinking 2 years for DH and I also.
Those butterflies were wonderful! I call it the "new-ness feeling" but it doesnt last, well it didnt for me.
When I talk to other people about us I sometimes get the fuzzy feeling or when he does something to surprise me in a good way but if we were the test subjects in the study... we would be the average they came up with.

DH and I will celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary later this month. We celebrated the 7th anniversary of the day we met back in June.
I have to say that watching him with my  , I am falling in love with him all over again! Of course sometimes he makes me crazy wtih the silly things he does (like putting her in my 1 year old neice's push stroller  ) but when he is reading to her or dressing her and singing to her- it just warms my heart.

I have been past the butterfly stage for a while. Instead of butterflies it's almost like I get a tugging sensation in my heart. It's so much deeper then butterflies.

I would honestly say that I don't always get butterflies. But there are times when we get dressed up & go out when I look at him and think ...wow! I love this man & he still turns my tires!

Same here, although we're together 6 1/2 years married almost 5). I love my guy. I will also admit that there are times that I look at him and feel nauseous.

We have known each other 18 yrs. and married over 13. I wouldn't say I have butterflies all the time but the love has not faded and I DO still get butterflies.
That is why I do NOT listen to BLI!!
