Throughout the pregnancy.........

were you nervous the whole time?

I am about 6wks and I have my 1st sono on Mon. I get all my blood results and hopefully get to hear a heartbeat.

I just think how this is the crucial time in a pregnancy and how anything can happen. I get so nervous

I know that is the worse thing to do but cant help it at times.

I was nervous throughout my first trimester and then after each "test." (ultrascreen, afp, level II, glucose, etc). But once I started feeling the baby move I became alot less nervous (although I don't believe it ever goes away completely. )

Just take care of yourself (try to eat well and rest) and your bean and you should be ok!!!

Yes, I was very nervous in the beginning. I had some bleeding issues as well as a threatened miscarriage in the very beginning.

Once I started feeling him move, it eased my nerves a bit.

i was very nervous in the beginning (especially after having a previous MC). it is so true though - once u start to feel the baby move - u feel soooo much better!!!

Im always nervous...and still am,I wont be calm until I know they are really healthy and till they are born

Honestly, I was nervous up until about a week ago. I did not get a chance to enjoy the fact that I was pregnant because I was worrying about the "what-if's"....try not to worry, I know it is hard.

Now that I am 12 weeks, I feel much better

I think it's completely natural to worry, but the worry does subside as you get further along- especially once you feel the baby move regularly. And once you stop worrying that the baby is ok, you'll find something new to worry about- like how much it's going to hurt to push that little one out.

i am stilll nervous - every time i go to the dr (which is every week)....i worry about silly little things too...my dr just jokes about it with me!

Due to my history with m/c, this pregnancy I was a total wreck for a loong time. I honestly dont think I started to relax about it and really enjoy it until after my Level 2, when they told me everything was good and was deveoping nicely .. and as Diane and Ariella said, I honestly think I won't rest easy until the little one is in my arms

It is perfectly understandable that you are nervous, esp. going for that first sono - you hear so many stories and of course you just worry - but more often than not, everything is OK! So as hard as it sounds, please try not to worry

I was pretty worried/paranoid/anxious/confused for a while! It wasn't until I started showing and feeling the kicking that my mind was put at ease. When the doctor told me to make my next appointment for 4 weeks - I always made it 3. It gave me piece of mind to know that everything was going okay.
I am sure you will be fine - but I totally understand where you are at. Good luck!

I am nervous all of the time...I always worry that I am doing the right thing for the baby...and I know that this is just the beginning!

I feel exactly the same way. My first appt is Monday also. I hope that once I see the Dr. I relax a little bit, but I have a feeling I am going to feel this way until the 1st tri. is over.

I am surprised at how calm and laid back I have been about it. I think it is because I feel 100% normal and good. I heard the heartbeat last week (when I was 6 weeks) and since I am just amazed and feel blessed.

I just started 21 weeks and I am still nervous. I will be nervous until the baby arrives and I know all is well.

I was the most nervous till my first appt. at 8 weeks. I will probably always remember saying a little prayer when the doctor was about to do the ultrasound- that the baby was ok and that I hadn't lost it (especially because till that point I'd been feeling really good- hardly felt pregnant at all which is good on the one hand but not very reassuring!)

Then I was nervous at my last appt. at 12 weeks. I told my principal and co-workers then (earlier than I wanted) because furniture and boxes needed to be moved in my classroom, and it was very important that I had help (and I NEVER ask for help!) so I worried then that something would have happened and then all my co-workers would know. But everything was ok.

Like everyone else, I won't truly relax till he/she is here (but then it will be on to a new set of worries!)

I was really nervous with my first as well. This one I am more so because I am so sick these days.

I think I calmed down after about 16 weeks. Now I'm a wreck again.
