Don't you hate it when you spend $10.25 to see a movie...
and you absolutely hate it?
I saw Black Dahlia over the weekend. I really thought I would enjoy it but it was long and drawn out and I was so disappointed.
Anyone else see it?

we saw it last night- what a waste of $30 ( 2 tickets plus popcorn and a drink)
and at the end I turned to Jake and said I would have rather seen Jacka$$ 2
it was so bad

The friend I went with said Hollywoodland was sooooo much better.

This is your own fault. You need to come to LIF for your reviews....they panned the movie a few weeks ago.

That's exactly why I don't like going to the movies. I'm much happier watching them at home- that way if I don't like it, I don't feel like i have to sit through the whole thing.

Wow its a good thing Honeywolf and I missed that movie last weekend and saw "Last Kiss"...which was better then "The Wickerman"...Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

We hardly go to the movies anymore either. We keep getting stuck in theatres with teenage kids trying to get attention.
We generallly trust Peter Travers from Rolling Stone in his reviews though. There have been a few times he's raved about something that was just "ok" but I usually check out his score first.

YES!!! Dh and I went to the movies for the first time in ages on Friday night to see "All The Kings Men" - we left an hour early. It was torture to try and understand what Sean Penn was saying through his horrible Southern accent.

That's why we hardly go to the movies anymore -- it's expensive for what it is and the commercials kill me. Throw in that half the movies are eh at best, so now we wait for cable. Once in a while I'll pick up a dvd but I even stopped doing that.

that's why we rarely go see a movie and when we do, it's a matinee. On top of the crazy prices ($7 for popcorn is a great deal  ), you have RUDE idiots taking calls on their cell and talking constantly.
