Dilation question (repost PG board)

Hi girls,

Sorry to invade your board but i have a question. Went to doctor today, im 37 weeks and 3 days. Last week i wasnt dilated at all, but i expected something today or at least was hoping. She said i am not dilated at all and my cervix hasnt even started to open. I asked her if she thinks i will go past my due date and she said yes. I am very frustrated now. I am so ready to have this baby already. Did anyone have a similar experience and not dilate at all? And how late were you if you didnt or did you still make your due date.

I wasnt dilated until my 40 week internal with Emma. It took 6 days from that point for me to go into labor. Don't worry, it's almost over and no, your doctor doesnt KNOW for a fact that you will be overdue... darn doctors...

I wasn't dilated at all at 40 weeks and was induced 5 days later - they checked me before the induction and I was 2 cm effaced. I wouldn't of minded if I had the baby earlier but being induced but the best experience for me!
