Do you ever recognize LIF babies in stores?
I saw a familiar face at BRU in Commack the other day but felt silly not knowing who Mom was. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Yes!! I have to be honest here. I am a little uncomfortable posting DD's pic anymore and I know a few girls here are as well because of this reason. Well not because of our regulars who are fabulous girls. The lurkers who we don't know. It scares me that someone knows my kid and not me. There are strange people out there

This is exactly one of the main reasons that I do not post my daughter's pictures. It's just too scary the amount of information we put out there about your kids.

Same here. Some of the girls have posted registry info with last names or the daycare centers they are using, these are all pieces of info that should not be posted in a public forum. Child predators prey on these tidbits of info to track kids down. I don't mean to be a party pooper but it just scares me....

This thread has made me rethink my decision to post pics. 
On the one hand, I want to post pics of our DD and share pics with the great moms on here. On the other hand, someone brought up the fact that there are lurkers who might be nuts!
Also, when someone FM's me who has 3 posts, it makes me feel strange. I got an FM once from someone who out of nowhere who was asking me personal questions about my house, so I blocked them. I mean to lurk is one thing to them FM people when you do not post at all is another story, IMHO.

I don't worry about a predator tracking me or my kids down.
To answer your question, I haven't recognized a baby, but I saw MrsJ in the supermarket before she had Katie.

I thought I recognized someone in Fire Island and debated whether to say something or not.
The posts about being nervous about stalkers and whatnot make me think but I honestly never worried about this stuff before. Like when there are GTGs and people want to keep the location private I understand that but for myself never worried about it.

I did once a few yrs ago when Kathi's older son (My2Boys) was an infant. I think I freaked her out by knowing her kid's name in a store...but were friends now so Im assuming shes gotten past it LOL (Kathi? Remember that?)

I usually have my head in the clouds, so I don't usually recognize people. I have had people see me though, and they do so because I do post pics of thek kids. But I don't really share enough info for anyone to stalk me. I am pretty comfortable, even on this public board.

What are they going to do? I have been posting pics for years of myself and family and never looked back
I would not mind if someone saw me who I knew and said I am so and so from LIF. If I saw someone on my "friends list" I would say hello.
A lurker would bother me and I would think they were nuts.

I had someone do this and ask me what town I lived in, like I would give my "real" town to strangers  It was about a Suffolk mom group...
