I need a new job BUT

The problem is this....I DO NOT want to work in an office anymore.....I cant stand sitting at a desk and staring at a computer all day any longer. No one in my family works in an office (mom is a school nurse, dad is a supermarket manager) so its just not in my blood and I never thought I would end up doing this. Of course over a series of events this is where I ended up.

Now the problem is what the heck do I do with my life??? I majored in communications which basically =s cr ap. I have no hobbies, talents or other skills.

I just want to go to work, perform a service, and go home. Why is it so hard!??!?! Any advice or ideas?

sales baby! I am in sales. I go to the office 1 1/2 days a week and many sales jobs you will not even have to do that-only thing you'll probably have to lie on your resume and say you've done sales. Trust me it's not brain surgery. If you have half a brain and a good sense of humor you can do it! You need to be good at self motivation adn follow up as well asbuilding relationships. Good luck

What type of sales do you do? Right now I support 5 salespeople - we are in advertising. IMO its tough to sell. Lots of pressure.

Not advertising. I work in real estate. My degree is in Communication too. I run a network of attorneys that we refer to our real estate clients. I sell them title insurance. My job is not typical but my 1st job out of college was selling liquor wholesale. That was fun. It does involve some late nights occasionally but you kearn a lot about wine and you get free booze-lots of it for samples. Seriously if you do a search on Monster for sales jobs-you will get a slew of them. Sunday Newsday has a whole section. Also could be good thing that you have worked in a support role as you know some of the lingo and such.

I need a new job too
