My DH is in 27WEST and they used to play at The Inn in Long Beach all the time, but since the renovations, they never got called back...  I miss seeing them, now they're in CT mostly.....

The Slicked Up 9's. They are based out of Pennysylvania, but do play in NY.... but my first cousin is in it!!! They are great if I say so myself!

It's Stamford. I live 15 minutes away from Stamford.  If you don't mind letting me know when/where they play, I'd love to go see a live band.
