Mother's Day (vent)

This year we couldn't get home to see our parents for mother's day so we sent both of them the fruit bouquets from edible arrangements. So my mom called and thanked us over and over again , she loved it. My MIL called and complained it was warm and one of the strawberries had mold on it. I was so mad, when she called she always has to complain about everything can't she just lie and say it was wonderful and thank us. It is wasn't for me Dh wouldn't of sent anything. And it was warm because you weren't home and they left it at a neighbor's house. Am I wrong to be mad, I don't let her get to me anymore I am used to her but still if someone sent me something I would thank them and not complain, I wouldn't want them to feel bad.

No kidding! No Gratitude! I would be upset too. Well, you have a kind heart and thats what matters!

Somepeople are just like that all the time. It drives me nuts, but I am slowly learning to just let it go , and see that theres no making them happy, so all you can do is try and then not take it personal when they find fault.

Yes, you have every right to be mad and hurt that a simple thank you couldnt be all she said .

That's why my MIL gets nothing from me anymore-lol!!
She complains about everything we buy her so I have given up over the years.

that's nice she should not have complained to you.

I got flowers for my b-day and some of the roses were almost dead. I didn't tell my sister about it, I called 1-800 flowers and they delivered a brand new bouquet.

Thank you all for our replies. I just thought i had found the best gift and then when she called and complained I felt like crap. But you are right some people are like that, at least my mother loved it thats all that matters.
