Help! Quick gyno question....
I have a gyno appt this afternoon. I just unexpectedly got my period (early). Should I call and cancel?

I would call & see...If you are getting a check up or need a pap, then you can't go with your period

Call and ask them. I think it can affect your PAP so they might say to cancel.

Used to work at gyno.... if it is very light, then you can still go (as long as u feel comfortable), it wont affect the test... however, if its heavy... then I'd reschedule

Thanks.  I just got it, so it isn't too heavy, but I called the office and got a message saying the office is closed, call back during business hours Monday-Friday 9-5.

This is such a PITA. They won't renew my pills until I see her, but I don't want to pay a copay and then have to go back in a week for the pap and have to pay again! Plus, I need my pills NOW!

They should be able to call in your pills to your pharmacy anyway since you are probably going to reschedule.

I've been to the gyno while I have my period - they can't do a pap, but they can do the rest of the exam. Are you due for a pap this time?
