How long in the infant carrier???
How long did you use the infant carrier for your little one....Ava is 12 weeks old and already it is getting hard to fasten but the Britax that I have just looks so big for her.

Each carrier has it's own limits. We had a Graco Snugride and it was 20 pounds or 26 inches. He's still under the weight but way over the inches so we switched him.

At 3 months we put Nate in the convertible carseat bc we reachead the height limit.

Same here. I switched Alex when he was 26.5 inches. I think he was 5 months old.

At his 3 month visit he hit the height limit for the snugride but he still had room and wasn't hanging over the edges (we also had just taken out teh bundle me giving more room) so I kept him in an extra month. The big boy car seat was so big at first and his poor little head would flop all over when he fell asleep since he was still so young.

My daughter reached the height limit at four months old. We took her out and put her in the Britax Convertible seat. I thought it was so much easier. I hated the infant seat. It was so heavy.

I still have him in there and he is 28 inches  but only 14 lbs so he is like a little peanut in the other one-- Im not ready to switch just yet because I like the convience with the snap and go

We just swtiched this weekend at 10 months she is only 17lbs and 26inch mt lil peanut

My son was 23 inches at birth, so needless to say he was outta his infant carrier VERY quickly.. I bought the Triumph Carseat for the inbetween carseat.. Used that for forever.. cause it reclines, still looks like enough support for a baby and big enough to transition to foward facing and about 2.. My son made it to about 19 months in it before we had to move him into the booster! I loved my triumph.. you may wanna look into that one!!

I thought you weren't supposed to switch them out of rear facing infant seats until they were 25lbs AND 1 year old?

The convertible carseats can be installed rear-facing until they are a yr and 25lbs. Then you can use it forward facing.
We have the Evenflo Triumph.
