Need ideas for a gift for my dad

My dad is impossible to shop for. His only real hobby is taking care of his many fish (14 fishtanks), watching football, and listening to country music. If I buy him a sweater, he'll say he has too many and there's no room. He likes books on tape, but I buy those for him all the time, and it's getting boring.

I am out of ideas! Any suggestions??

ETA: I just called him to see if there was anything he wanted and he said, "get me a book on tape."

Thanks Michal. He told me not to get him any CDs b/c he likes choosing them himself. I think I'm going to get him an audio recording of Dan Brown's Angels and Demons b/c he loved the recording I bought him of The DaVinci Code. I was trying to think of something different, but if that's what he wants, that's what he gets!

It's so much easier to just get people what they're requesting sometimes!!! Even though we think it's boring, if that's what they want, and it's less stress to us...

What about a gift certificate to borders? I know gift certificates can be impersonal, but this way he could pick out a book on tape or a cd. Or what about a subscription to a magazine that he might like. Something that has to do with fish?

or maybe get him some books but a GC to a cd store (or Borders/B&N)




my dad is hard too.

i got him a book "Drinks for any Occasion" he wanted, a daily planner since he is away all the time for meetings, a nice pen to go with it.
i want to get him a chot glass too to go with hte dirnk book since he collects them.
