When did everyone tell their immediate family they were pregnant?

I am dying to tell my mother, especially because 3 of sibblings are away on vacation with my dad and she is a little down. I know she woudl be exstaic but I cant see telling her and not my dad. I guess I can wait till first week of Sept. when everyone comes back but it seems so far away? What did you guys do?

We told our immediate families right away. There is no way I can keep that big of a secret from them.

We waited until 12 weeks b\c we didn't think the pregnancy was going to "stick"

I told my mom at about 8 weeks but everyone else in our immediate family we told after the 1st trimester was over.

I am going through this now. Originally we were going to wait until 12 weeks. However, it's really killing me not telling our immediate family. My doctor's appointment is on the 23rd, I will be 8 weeks. If all goes well, we may tell parents and siblings then. All other relatives will know as soon as we hear the heartbeat.

I told my mom the day after my BFP...(I think we told my dad later on that day)

And DH's parents 2 days after BFP...

SIL was told like 2 hrs. after my BFP...

We were in such shock we couldnt keep it in!!

I told my sister right away. I think I had known for less then a week. She's 16 and we've always been close, and I had to drive her to the mall so I just blurted it out in the car. She and her boyfriend and a few of her girlfriends knew before my parents did!

The next week my whole family minus me and my brother and his family went to Hawaii for the week. I was 7 weeks pregnant. I housesat for my sister for the whole week, and then met them all at my parents house the night my bro picked them up from the airport and told them all there. It was my mom, dad, brother, older sister, and her husband.

With my first pregnancy, I told my parents within the first week, and although I miscarried, I totally didn't regret it because I really needed their support and understanding when it happened. Second pregnancy I waited until after the first ultrasound when we saw the heartbeat, at about 7 weeks - I felt bad because I saw how excited they were when I told them the first time, so I wanted to wait just a little longer to get some reassurance from the ultrasound.

I told my mom a few days after my BFP on her birthday. DH told his parents a week later (I was about 7 weeks).

We told everyone at 12 weeks.

We told my parents and DH parents after a few days.

But initially, I wanted to tell my parents a day earlier - but my dad was working that night - so i couldn't bare telling my mom and my dad not being there.....

So, we decided to wait another day and im glad i did.

Our immediate family knew the next day. We couldn't hold it in.

I told my mom right away, everyone else will hear at 12 weeks.

We waited a few weeks to tell my family. (we found out before Easter) We wanted to wait till they were all together.

We told immediate family right away and friends around 12 weeks.

I told my mom the night I found out and my sister the next day (she just had a baby in June). We told my MIL a few days later because I wanted to be there when DH told her, and with a 7 hour time difference, the weekend was the only day.

ETA: I won't tell anyone else until 3 months- Thank G-d for this board. I woudl end up bursting if it wasn't for you girls!!!

Outside of this board and one of my SILs, we STILL haven't told our parents or family .. which is shocking for me becaues I usually CANNOT keep a secret

(I am just waiting to go to my first doctor's appointment to make sure all is well before officially spilling the beans )

We are going to tell my mom and wait to tell everyone else. We want to tell someone and I know my mom will keep quiet
I will wait to tell everyone else when my dad gets back that way he doesnt feel like he was left in the dark

We told our parents and siblings at 7-7.5 weeks or so. Some other close family (grandmas and aunts) a week or two after that.

We told immediate family right away.

I found out, told DH 2 days later (it was Christmas day), told my parents the following day and his parents/siblings 2 weeks later at FIL's 70th b-day party--I was 6 weeks then. Everyone else knew between 9-12 weeks.
