Anyone read the, "Lifelong house no longer home" article in Newsday?
i feel SO sorry for these people. the house has been in the family for 60 years and they lost it all due to a mortgage scam.

the "broker" aka CROOK, is another story, he just has no heart!!!

I think it is horrible... these people have lived there forever........ they need to get their house back..... I think it is bs that the house was put up for auction

okay, I know I am setting myself up for some punishment, but here goes:
These people couldn't pay their bills. They were already in foreclosure. They should have taken steps to rectify this problem before the foreclosure process began.
Next, they should have done some research on the broker (the crook) whom they were dealing with.
Next, THEIR lawyer didn't do what was necessary to halt the auction. Again, another bad decision made by someone whom THEY choose to represent them.
And, finally, even if the house was given back to them- it still doesn't sound like they'll be able to afford to keep it.
I know, I know. I'm being mean. But, I don't fault the buyer. Sorry Charlie!

As much as it stinks I agree with you.
I do too. They didn't have the funds to keep the house. Still don't. Sad, yes. Unfair, yes.

it's a sad story- but I have to agree that they were already in forecloser and there is not much that can be done
they still got ripped off- but should have spoken to more then one person- esp someone who solicated them thru the mail
