Bumbo seat
How long can they actually use this seat for? Ava is trying so hard to sit up and she is getting so frustrated.....when she is lying on her back or sitting in her swing she pulls herself forward and makes like a grunting sound as she tries to pull herself up....so i thought she might like this seat but I think I remember some people saying that the leg slots were a little small. Ava is 15 weeks....would she fit....any other recommendations for something she might like?

Re: Bumbo seat
She'll definitely fit but depending on how chunky her legs are, she may outgrow it quickly. For $40 bucks, it's up to you whether or not it's worth it.
Jake still fits in his at 5 1/2 months but just barely. But he is not showing much interest in wanting to pull himself up to sitting yet. If he was, I probably wouldn't use the Bumbo actually because it restricts their movement more.
I would prop her up on some pillows on an incline, so she can practice pulling herself up. She has more freedom of movement that way and can learn to balance better.

I use mine all the time. We bring it to friends houses and I'll use it to feed Jack solids if we are out during his dinner time. I got my 40 bucks worth since 2 1/2 months but he is long and lean.

Re: Bumbo seat
I was thinking of getting this myself but am not sure since Emily is a big baby and has major thunder thighs!!! She is also very interested in sitting up. If She's sitting up and I try to lay her down she gets all bent out of shape, and spends entire diaper changings trying to push herself up. Right now I just use the boppy pillow and a few recieving blankets strategically placed to prop her up.
One step ahead also has a bolster pillow that is more supportive then a boppy and you might get more use out of it.

Re: Bumbo seat
We didn't get much use out of it. Maybe 1-2 hours total tops. I think it made my daughter clostrophobic! If you know someone that has it, I would ask them if you could try it out and see how your daughter likes it before you buy it. Yes, they look cute sitting in it but they may not be comfortable for a long period of time. Every baby is different.
