Grrrrr! Is it just me? VENT/RANT

Like others have posted about mother's day my DH waits until the very last moment to get presents/cards for EVERYTHING! Sooo... why should this day be any less special?????

DH is still running around preparing things and our families will be here in 1 hour. Now, what is p*ssing me off is that it's mother's day- my first one and do I get to sleep late? do I get to relax? NO!

Here's all I wanted:

sleep in- nope up at 5:30 am for feedings, 6:30 for diaper changes DH was sleeping

take a nice long hot shower- nope, needed to rush out of there so I can watch and bathe DD b/c DH has to run out because he "forgot" something

relax and have breakfast- again NO! had to entertain DD b/c DH is out for a few hours!

That's all I wanted for today. Yes I love spending time with DD but I am ALWAYS the one who takes care of her.

Now, let's talk about who cleaned the house for our company b/c DH who said he would take care of cleaning DIDN'T b/c he's too busy running around wrapping presents and running out for last minute "stuff" As usual- me! And he was the one to invite everyone here!!!!!!!

Now, when it's father's day I bet he'll be out golfing all day!


Thanks for letting me vent. If I don't do it here, there would be a huge fight today!

I always found it odd that Mother's Day was about spending time with the family - and Father's Day was a day for the Father's to go off & do their own thing.

Oh Lora, I'm sorry. It's unfair I hope your day got better - let your families hold and take care of the baby for a little while and give yourself a break.
