So Every Friday (food related)
I work out our downtown office and there is a guy there who's family owns an indian restaurant. So every Friday they order from his family's restaurant. It's a big production and the food smells are very pungant (sp)..
I'm not a fan of Indian Food but heck if you like it, good for you.
It's just that for hrs, the smells linger. I go home smelling like the food.
They eat it at their desks not in a lunchroom or anything and I don't want to say anything to them. It's their space too..
They always ask me if I want to order, but I always say no.
The smell actually makes my stomach hurt..(well, almost everything makes my stomach hurt)
I mention this here and now because in about 10 minutes the parade will start...not looking forward to it..

 I HATE the smell of curry. I have never had Indian food. I can't get past the smell

Not a fan of that smell either!
I actually looked at an apt bldg years ago and ran for my life...the smell was EVERYWHERE!

while looking for a house, DH and I went to 2 that REEKED from curry. I had to breath through my mouth. I was gagging!

I lived in an apartment in Jersey above an Indian family. I hated opening my windows because the smell of curry would waft up into my apartment

I'm not a big fan of curry either. Its a very strong scent and I can tolerate it for only a short time.
Im not sure if this will help. But sometimes when I smell and overwhelming scent, I'll spritz a tissue with perfume and keep it at my side. I'll occassionally sniff it when needed.

I'm not a fan either and sometimes experience that here. My entire office stinks like curry and the smell just doesn't agree with me.

would you be brave enough to talk to HR about it? or is this guy HR?
any food that is potent should not be eaten @ the desk - especially when a lunchroom is available. see if you can involve them w/o looking like the bad guy.

You know I would, but I'm only here on Fridays and not every Friday.
I have tried the food, it just doesn't agree with me.
I have all kinds of gastric issues so I'm not normal, but it's still annoying..
I don't want to cause a problem.
