Coil or Foam

Mattress? Which does everyone have and what do you think of it?

We are looking at mattresses and I've been reading recently that foam is better than coil because it is firm but lightweight.

If you don't mind can you also tell me where you bought your mattress??

I got coil - it is by Sealy and I got it at JC Penney.

I followed the baby bargains book and bought the colgate classica I for about $90... I bought it online (can't remember where, but the bargains book says where you can get it). It's also the #1 recommended mattress by consumer reports.

we ordered a foam matress from Behr's which is where we got the furniture

I just bought coil but for no other reason than that was all Baby Depot had. I really just grabbed a mattress and ran. I'm embarrased to say I didn't do much research so I am watching this post to see what others say.

We got a coil mattress at Bellini where we got the rest of the furniture. It's firmer which is good for the baby when he's younger and we plan to use it for the toddler bed too, so it lasts longer than foam. Don't remember the brand.

We bought a Sealy coil mattress from BRU. I didnt put much research into it, but it mid-priced, wasnt the cheapest or most expensive and since it was made by a known brand we figured it would be ok.

I believe minne is a coil it is the sealy crown jewel mattress
