How long after your newborn gets up in the morning is it before their first nap?

Allison woke upat 630 and had her bottle then was changed thenw as in her swing an then she starte dot look sleepy again so i put her in her crib wher she is now and she is awake but quiet. What is teh normal time period between naps and waking up for teh day

for Lauren it was always two hours after she woke.

2 1/2 - 3 hours max.

That is pretty much my rule for Emma - Even with her afternoon nap.

I think with Jake it was about 2 hours.

Ellie is 4 mos now and for the first couple of months she would wake, have a bottle and go immediately back down ( as in fall asleep during the bottle). It's only now that she sleeps a little later and when she wakes she's up for 2 hours b4 the nap.

still at 9 months anywhere from 1 hr 15 min-2 hr 15 after waking

For the first few weeks Jordana basically ate and slept. She was barely awake.

Now (at 6 months) she still naps about 2 hours after she wakes up.

Since Andrew was born about 1 1/2 - 2hrs after his morning bottle he would go down again for a nap.

I didn't think there was such thing as a morning nap and/or bottle. Connor is just over 4 weeks and he just eats when it's time to eats and is up when he wants to. We don't really have a morning nap or bottle. It's at different times everyday. Maybe nursing makes it different?

at 7 months it is about 1.5-2 hours after he gets up. weissbluth says at that age a baby can't go longer than 2 hours without having a nap. i never realized this and was keeping ds up too long and he was getting so cranky.

He has no real set schedule..but the most he is ever up at a time is 2 hours.

samantha is still small (tomorow she will be 3 weeks old!) but is usually awake for about an hr or two in the morning....and then on and off all day...her longest stint awake is usually three hrs or so!

at 2 1/2 months Abby goes down 1 1/2 - 2 hours after she wakes in the morning, which has been between 8-9 a. the past few weeks, before that it was very erratic. she is BF.
