Spinoff to Jewish Preggos: Are you having a bris or baby naming?
DH and I are not religious at all....we know we are having a girl, and everyone keeps asking us if we are having a baby naming...which we decided that we aren't. If it was a boy, we also said we wouldn't have had a bris, and just had it done in the hospital. What do you think?

We're having a Bris. I'm not Jewish, but Dh is and it is really important to him. I did some research on Brises and Mohels and found that most Mohels actually do a better job with circumcision than is done at the hospital. Overall, I'm pretty comfortable with the ceremony (just no conversion prayers  ). But I am stressed about hosting this ceremony in my home 8 days after giving birth.

I had a BRis with my son who is now 4 years old. ( dr> Eric Diamond did the Bris).
My Daughter who is 6 months - we did a baby naming just with immediate family when she was 4 months old
