It's not air conditioned? How is that allowed?
i thought they only do summer school in schools that are air conditioned?

I am soooo thankful I opted not to do summer school this year!! Last year was brutal and this summer seems a lot worse!!

I teach in peoples houses over the summer in Queens, some refuse to use AC, so I am dreading the 6th floor of my one kids buildings tomorrow. Lucky for me his mom cancelled for today. I just ran outside to my car and it is BRUTAL!!!

They normally do, but they are doing construction in our middle school hwere it is air conditioned,a nd this year they moved it to the high school.

AC isn't required for Summer School at all.
I think the thought behind that is that they don't want to make it a desireable place for kids to spend their summers!
I happen to teach Summer School this year in a school that has air conditioning....but it's not working right now!
Luckily, it only lasts from 8-12, so it wasn't too hot today....it was bearable with a nice breeze from the windows.
