Weird question, but gotta know...
Is cheddar cheese supposed to have a bitter taste? I had a block of it that was wrapped in a wax (I guess to preserve it) sent to me as a gift from Wisconsin and it tasted bitter...
Tonight I decided to use it and make mac and cheese and my dh noticed the bitterness too..

I have never had cheddar that tasted bitter, it should have more of a sharp taste, not bitter.

If you don't care for the taste, chuck it. Don't think about whether or not it went bad bc you already ate some of it. <<puking emoteicon>>
