who actually stopped BC pills 3 months before TTC?
should i even bother? we are TTC this sept. should i stop now? or just stop in sept? i want july & agust to loose as much wieght as i can for health reasons before ttc

I am in the same boat as you. i would like to get prego in Sept if im lucky. Im nervous about stopping my BC so soon, just incase im one of the people that gets PG on the first try. I think im goign to take them for one more month. I will start a new pack on Friday and that will be my last pack.

We are using another form of protection for now just to make sure it doesn't happen. Another reason i went off so early was i have high blood pressure and the doctors think the BC might be causing it. ANd i really have been working hard to get it down before we start TTC.

We want to start TTC in September too and i just went off BC last week.
I just stopped too, Sunday I started my prenatals vitimins.
I'm not worried, were going to use protection and if it happens it happens

I did!!!
I was on BC for 3 years. All the books we read indicated if you were on for longer than 2 years you should stop 3 - 6 months prior to TTC.
My Doctor said she has seen women get pregnant right after coming off and others take 6 months or so....
I wanted to be sure I had the hormones out of my system to actively start trying this month....

We have no reason to wait so our doc told us to start trying on day 10 after my first natural period after going off BCPs. He did not say anything about waiting any longer than that. Though every woman is different so I would trust your doctor. There may be reasons why he says what he says.

I stopped bc three months before ttc. I had such irregular cycles before going on the pill. Since I had been on the pill for over 10 years, I want to get some idea of what my cycles would be like.

For some people, it takes a while for the body to adjust to being off of the hormones, so if you really want it to happen for you in September, I'd suggest going off BCP soon. It took me almost 2 months to get my period after going off the pill, and I still am not regular quite yet!

I stopped in December, but we aren't "officially" TTC yet. I just wanted to get it out of my system so I could pay more attention to the way my body works.

I went off birth control pills in April and will start TTC in August. I use Ovulation Predictor Sticks and have been sort of charting (I dont take my temperature - but I keep track of how long my cycle is - and when I'm ovulating)
