optimum online triple package
Anyone have this? You get cable, online service and phone for 29.95 each service so it comes to about $90 plus taxes. It says you get that price for a year.....just wondering what it costs after the year....and also how much it would be to add HBO? Thanks!

I have the triple package.
Here is my break out:
Optimum Voice: $29.95
Optimum Online: $29.95
Optimum Television: $63.93 -
television includes: iO Silver (includes basic cable) $49.95
We have 2 boxes: $9.02 ($4.22 each and 2 remotes - 0.29 each)
Additional Outlet - (for the extra box) - $1.50
Taxes and Fees - $3.46
After the one year - our price will increase by $25.00.

I also have it...
I think my bill is like 102/month... give or take...
I have 2 boxes.. (so I pay for one extra) no HBO or anything!!

Yep we just got the letter saying our bill is going to increase by $25 next month!  I think we have to cancel our premiums!

We have it too..We pay 135 a month thought because DH just had to upgrade to the Gold cable Package and we have 1 DVR for the downstairs TV which is 10 a month. Ours will go up to about 160 after the 1 year month, which still isnt bad for cable, modem and phone

I just got this today!! Its $130 for the Gold Package (all sports and movie channels), phone and modem. Im so excited. SUC on this Verizon
Oh and in case we ever loose power we are keeping our Verizon fax line so we will always have a phone!! YAY!!!

You can buy a battery back up. When you loose power you will still have phone.

Yes you can keep your phone # for a 30.00 charge. You contact cablevision (my dh sells it  ) and they take care of everything. Depending on your package you would get it for 14.95

I've been told that the only bad thing about the voice is that if you make an emergency call (911) the call cannot be traced back to your house. That is what is holding us back. Also I tried DSL a year ago when I was setting up my office and it was such a mess I am afraid of Verizon!! Hopefully they have improved...!

You should get a cellphone that has the tracking monitor built into it so your location can be tracked if you call 911.
Verizon is a WASTE. Even to hold for 911.
You can buy any PC battery backup you would normally get for a computer.... and that would work with the OV equipment.

My DH works for cable (he sells it ) He says 911 IS traced to your house.
ETA: Vonage is/was having a problem with their 911 service. You need to activate it or something and people werent told. So they were calling 911 and getting redirected which to a very long time. They are getting sued for it.

Actually, Cablevision sent out a notice to customers about two weeks ago. They give you a little sticker to put on the modem. It's gist was that if you move, you are allowed to take your cable modem with you. They ask that you let them know so they can update their records. They probrably match the address on your modem to your physical address for E911.
