best baby shower favor???
I'm throwing my FSIL a shower at the end of next month and i need some ideas!!! Is a baby shower favor a must nowadays?
What is the best baby shower favor you've ever received or seen? Please post pics if you have them or the websites. Thanks ladies!

honestly i think for the most part favors are waste but the only thing i do like is a CD favor at least peole will get use out of it or maybe chocholate.. who doesnt liek chocholate?

I also think the favor thing can be a big waste so I like the edible kind. I just saw some in some magazine and liked the idea of a cinnamon bun with a tag that says something about the "thank you from JoAnne's bun in the oven". Maybe I like it because all I can think of is food lately!!! They do have candles in the shape of cinnamon buns too.

I prefer edible favors - because everything else will get tossed. I hate dust collectors.
I did like my friend's shower favor. It was african violets.

At my baby shower we had Little Rocking Horse Shower Gels from Avon - but I have a feeling that they don't sell them anymore.

I like either cd's or chocolates...
My friend did a candy table @ her daughters communion...
She just bought a bunch of differents kinds of candy @ BJ's- had little bags with a label that said **** Holy Communion... and then you made yourself a little favor bag of yummy candy!
I LOVE this idea.....

Since I did the Sir Leapsalot theme for the nursery, my friends and family got frog cookie cutters and frog soaps for the favors at my baby shower. They were really cute.

I went to one last year and they did the baby powder scented candles. Who doesn't like candles? It was cute and very useful.

For my shower my girls just had little magnets made up that hvae a baby's feet on them and it said "A Miracle from God" and the baby shower date -- and then since it was a small favor they made a donation to a children's leukemia foundation instead of spending a big amout of money on the favors, and I think that was such a great thing to do. They made up a certificate about the donation and put it in a nice frame for me that was on display beside the basket of magnets.

My cousin made the favors for my shower. She used Hershey candy bars, but she rewrapped them in a custom made wrapper with Kara's Baby Shower and the date as well as a collage of sonogram pictures of the baby. Everyone loved it.

My mother got these really cute wallet sized picture frames with alpha blocks and a teddy bear on it. She inserted little notes that said "Save this space for my first picture" or something like that. Once the baby was born my SIL sent out little wallet sized newborn photos to put in the frame. It was really nice

i have some favors left over from my shower if your interested heres the info:
I have 36 baby shower favors left over and wanted to offer it to you before I put it on ebay. I am selling them for $2 a piece they come wrapped, personalized with moms name and shower date and I can customize either boy or girl gender on the card.
They are Recipe for Motherhood and they hold a
3x 5 index card. Heres a link on the internet to show that I am looking to sell below normal selling price as I want to get them out of my home.

I like the edible kind or candles, anything that will be able to be used or eaten.
I think Im just going with lollipops. They are little baby feet lollipops.

My baby shower is going to be a rubber ducky theme, so I bought rubber duckie floating candles for the favors. I will also make cookies and I got a rubber duckie shaped cookie cutter.

We did candy at mine, mints in a 3oz baby bottle. We tied a ribbon on them with "Cathy's Baby Shower" and the date. They were really cute.

For my sisters shower, we got flower seeds. There was a poem on the front, and they were able to plant the seeds. Every time you see the flowers, you think of the baby. ANd the seed kinda represents the life too.

For my gf's shower I did terracotta pots with a bag of soil and a packet of gerbera daisy seeds (they are her favorite flower). She gave out sapling trees as her wedding favor, so I thought it was fitting

I like when there is a theme and everything matches..I hate dust collector favors. I like food favors, like choc or candies.
Love the rolling pin a lot, but only if it went with the theme of the shower.
