BTDT BF'ing Moms...a question about gassy foods.
I had artichokes with chicken piccata the other night and Grace was up from 11PM-3:30 with gas. Now I know....NO MORE ARTICHOKES!
Are there any other "gassy" foods that I should be avoiding? I heard to avoid broccoli, but what else is there? TIA

Onions!!! I think cooked are ok but stay clear of raw.
But every baby is different. I stayed away from broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, onions, garlic etc for a long time but I just coudn't take it anymore. So I slowly tried them and she hasn't had any problems. I have my pasta with tomato sauce all the time now

the only thing i have been avoiding is dairy. since i cut it out, DS has been much less gassy. he still has gas, but i haven't figured out what it might be from. i figure that all babies are going to have some gas anyway.

So far the only thing that bothers DD is tomato sauce & chocolate, knock on wood everything else i eat is ok. I have heard though that brocolli, cauliflower, beans, e the onions are the gassy ones

From what I was told only a small trace of our food gets in our breast milk. I drive myself nuts when DD has gas thinking what did I eat that day that may have caused it
I made Pasts Fagiolo last Sunday and she was gassy As was I

Thanks Ladies! I will introduce these foods in small quantities to my DD and she how she digests them.
