I have a ? for the moms that do cereal (5 mo's old)

You only mix the cereal w/ fruit or veggies? I've been mixing cereal/fruit or veggies AND formula. Should I not mix it w/ formula?

I ALWAYS mix w/ formula, and never mix w/ fruit or veg. He eats them sep. (in the same sitting, but one bite cereal, one fruit...or sometimes I take a spoon of cereal, and dip the tip in fruit)

I always mix the cereal with the fruit. My brother did this with his baby so I was used to doing it from when I babysat -- and my doctor said once we've tried a food and ruled out an allergy that it was OKAY to mix, so that's what we've been doing.

However my friend Mary and I went out to lunch today and she mixes the cereal seperately, then takes a bite of cereal and dips it in the fruit like Marissa does -- to make it taste good. That seems like a good way to get more "bulk" in -- I guess you can do it either way!

I mix the cereal with formula, push it aside and put the fruit in the other half of the bowl. I usually put a bit of fruit and cereal on the spoon together, but don't stir it all up together or anything.

I mix the cereal with either formula or water and fruit.

I mix the cereal with formula and then mix in the fruit... Jacob eats it so I assume he is liking it that way..
