We were a little nervous. We knew what we were doing was "right", but it was strange to think that our lives could change FOREVER by making love just this one time. Still it made it more exciting in a way.

I think that we all are looking forward to having children - both men and women. But when it comes down to the nitty gritty, the overwhelming sense of responsibility of being a parent gets the best of us. How many of us have witness the scenario of new parents feeling clueless and not knowing what to do despite the nieces and nephews they have cared for or their friends kids who they have babysat for?

When the child is your own or when you have consciously decided to create a life, for most, there is no turning back - it is a life long commitment. A parent never stops worrying - shoot, I am 36 years old and when I am going through a rough time, my mommy still weeps for me. (YEAH I SAID MOMMY, SO WHAT!!!)

When you are making love for the purpose of making a child, it can be perhaps the most incredible feeling and an incredible bond you share with your husband. For many people, it is the pinnacle of a relationship. I for one, never felt closer to DH than when we started. Was I nervous? Sure. But it was amazig to think about us being parents.

I think most people feel nervous... heck, dh and I arent even ttc yet and just talking about it makes me nervous!!
