So, I think I got a new job...
I've had my current job for about 4 months. It's not too stressful, close to home, but the boss is not too professional and not at all flexible if the kids are sick.
Sooo, today my mom calls me, and tells me her boss wants to hire me, still p/t, close to home, $4 more/hour, 401K, much better hours and more flexible. I will know for sure tomorrow, the manager is calling me at 10 to discuss more details.
Now as excited as I am, I am dreading quitting this job, because they are really going to be stuck...

Hey! it is never fun to quit a job--but you need to do what is best for you... u will feel like a huge weight is lifted off ur shoulders when u do quit--and think of it this way if that job had to let YOU go--yeah theyd feel bad but theyd still do it..bottom line is u need to be happy and do whats good for you, despite leaving them in the lurch--they will get over it...goodluck on getting the new job!!!!

Congratulations! I've always felt bad when I've quit a job so I know how that feels.
While it sounds like a no-brainer (your job needs to have flexibility with 2 kids), be prepared for a counteroffer in case it happens.
And YEAH!!
