Silly questions asked to you at work
It has been one of those days today at my office and I figure we could all get a laugh. What are some of the silliest things people have asked you at work?
A referring travel agent called me and asked me if their was a train that went from California to Anchorage Alaska.
If the cardboard that is in the binder we send out able to be removed or will that break the binder (the cardboard is in place for during shipping)
We ask for a passport photo to be submitted to make the ID cards. So a person sent us a COPY OF HIS PASSPORT!
I was also asked if someone sent in a fax today and the turn around time for a response is 24 - 48 hours is that business hours or straight hours.
C'mon and share those stories

I once asked a client to fax me a copy of a letter he was referring to...he told me "I can't its the only copy I have and the copy machine isn't working"

Re: Silly questions asked to you at work
One guy in my office used to ask me if there was coffee in the machine (He knew that I didn't take care of the machine or drink coffee) or better yet...if there was anyone in the men's room.
The owners repeatedly ask me "where do I sign" when there's a big red x right near the word signature....those tape flags don't work b/c they write over them.
The winner was a stickie attached to a package of health insurance policy quotes & details for this guy Steven. The package came from the insurance company in May 2003. Steven died in December 2003. The question....Do we need this? came to me in Jan 2005 No, it's a little late for health insurance for Steven.

Re: Silly questions asked to you at work
i'm a teacher and some of my kids come out with the funniest things!!! today, one of my genius' (and yes, they are that!) argued the several meant seven. here is a kid who might likely go to harvard and was arguing with me that several meant seven!!! i said, yes, it could mean seven, but it could mean 5, 9, 21, 30...but it isn't set in stone that it means SEVEN!!!

My favorite was when I was a giftwrapper (back in high school) and people would come to get things wrapped and say "i'd like this wrapped - it's a gift" cracked me up! how many times do you buy yourself something just so you can unwrap it when you get home and pretend you got a gift!

Someone called me confirming their cruise itinerary and asked me what time the midnight buffet was.
I feel your pain
I got asked to give a quote for a ski package. The person wanted to go skiing in MEXICO!
