DC drinking less formula when they started cereal?

Did anyone's DC want less formula/breast milk when they started cereal. My son has been eating oatmeal for a couple of weeks and now he plays with his bottle more and seems to eat less formula....but then he'll eat as much oatmeal as I give him!

Well, I give Ava her cereal right after a bottle. The doctor said to make sure the formula stays her main source of nutrition, and this seems to be a good way to keep her from not eating her bottles. I also measure how much formula I use to make the cereal. I think I am using one ounce of formula to one tablespoon of cereal, so i know she's getting a whole ounce of formula with her cereal.

That is what I do usually, cereal after his bottle at his first bottle in the morning and then after his last bottle at night. I just notice, usually just with those bottles, he wants less, like he is saving room for the cereal.

Not too much less, he still gets about 28 oz. Just an ounce less 2 or 3 bottles. He drinks about 30-31 oz., but lately a little less. I was concerned that he'd keep trying to drink less and less.

My DD drinks about an ounce or two less a day......I am not going to worry unless she drops way off
