vacation question for new job

if i get offered this new job, how should i go about bringing up vacation i already have planned for this year? I have 2 trips planned where if i stay here, i'll have my paid vacation days!!
Can i tell them this and see if they would pay for vacation this early on?

I would only bring it up after they offer you the job. It's rare that a company will recind an offer just for a week's vacation. Granted though, you may not get paid vacation, just time off with no pay.

I definitely wouldn't mention the vacations until you've been given the job. Then let them know you have them already planned. You may not get paid for them. I'm in the same boat - I have a summer vacation planned and am looking for a job. As long as you don't expect to get paid then you can't be dissappointed!

I agree with the others not to mention until you're offered & accepting the position, ie "I would love to join XYZ company. I do need to know if it would be a problem that I have a vacation scheduled in May". My experience is that most companies would rather pay for your vacation time than to give you additional time off unpaid during the year.
