Call now or wait? UPDATE IN ORINGINAL POST
Last Thursday I had an interview at a Catholic School and was offered the job. I really wasn't very interested but I knew that I needed something. I told her I had an interview Friday and I would let her know by today.
Turns out I got the job on Friday, that I am more interested in. I was offered the job over the phone and was told they would be emailing me an offer that I would have to accept and e-mail back. I am pretty sure she also said she would be calling today to go over scheduling.
Here's the thing... I have yet to receive the "official" offer through e-mail. No phone call yet either. Do I wait until then to call this principal or call now? I hate to leave her hanging but I don't know if I feel comfortable saying no until I have something official... 
UPDATE: I just spoke to the recruiter. She said she was going to send the offer today, and I will speak to her later in the week about other information. Is it safe to call the principal now even though I have yet to receive the e-mail? I feel like it is okay since I talked to her. Thanks for your help!

call after you hear back. If the other school does not contact you by the end of the day today call tomorrow to follow up with them.

Call after you hear--they would definitely not extend you the same courtesy!!!
Do what's best for you--and what's best is waiting!

dont say no until you have something official
can you call the school that you saw on friday and ask them why you have not received the email? to kind of get things moving along?

I would call the place of the job you want and explain the situation to them. They need to expedite the process or at least give you a letter of intent or something over email so you feel comfortable passing on the other one.
If they assure you over the phone that it's official, etc. I would just take their word for it-- and sometimes offer letters take a while to prepare.

It actually isn't a school... I emailed the woman this morning with a question and have yet to hear back about that as well. I am assuming she is busy... and since I already e-mail I don't want to bug her by calling

She knew that I had another job offer and needed to know by today. She was awesome enough to call all my references on Friday and called Friday night to offer me the job... And I am pretty sure the info/letter would come today cuz there is a possibility I may start tomorrow.
I am a horrible decision maker!

I have been in your position before and just wait until end of day-- even though it totally blows. When you feel it is appropriate, call job that you are waiting on offer letter and tell them to get a move on!

She is supposed to email it but it hasn't come yet. I don't know how late I can wait to call this principal, I promised I would call today.
