HSG done

And I give everyone who has had this so much credit. And those had only had some cramping, thank your lucky stars because you got so lucky.

I literally almost passed out from the pain. And that was probably one of the most painful things I have ever done in my life. At one point they asked me to move to the side and they had to kinda push me, I couldnt even move.

The Dr said the laser and Leep procedures I had done on my cervix created a huge amount of narowing and scar tissue of the cervix and he wasnt sure if he was going to be able to do it, after a few minutes of trying tp push it in, he did and I thought I was going to throw up the pain was so bad.

He did say the pain was from the cervix opening being so tight, and he did think Natural conception would be a problem.

I asked what he saw and he said "normal". SO Im extremly happy about that, but glad this is over.

Re: HSG done

Donna! I'm so sorry! Chat Icon Chat Icon I was crossing my fingers for you that it wouldnt be painful for you. I'm sorry it was!

As for the tightening of the cervix...I have the same thing. My dr called it Cervial Stenosis - and that was one of the reasons I was hacing trouble getting PG. I really believe that the IUIs were my only option becuase natural wasn't going to work.

Hang in there, get some rest, Your RE should get the results in a couple of days to review (if not already) and it's GREAT that he said everything looked normal!

It's over now at least, you don't have to worry about it or go through it again Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: HSG done

Aww Donna Chat Icon I am so so sorry that you were in so much pain during your procedure. I have been thinking about you ALL afternoon and hoping for the best. I will say that I am SO proud of you for being so strong and having the HSG done, since I know how stressful it is.. Chat Icon

BUT on a positive note, I am very glad that everything is "OK"! That is the important part-- and hopefully this is just the next stepping stone to a healthy pregnancy in the very near future!

Feel better, rest and relax tonight... mostly I'm just so very glad this part is over for you Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: HSG done

For those who have had it. Did the cramping and bleeding subside over night?

The cramping is only bad if I move too fast or too much and the bleeding is not that heavy...

can I use a tampon though?

HI Donna!1 I am so gald you did it. You must fele like it was such an accomplishment. I had a very similar experience and since have had vaginal delivery without an epidural. For those of you who havent had an HSG, STOP reading this. Ok if you are still reading the HSG was worse than the unmedicated vag delivery. So, if you can get though this Donna, the rest should be a breeze!!!

My cramping and bleeding was definately gone by the next day. And no you should not use a tampon.

This is the happy dance since it is overChat Icon Chat Icon and "normal" Chat Icon Chat Icon

My bleeding lasted for about a day. I had the test done in the afternoon and I felt much better by that night.
