Pcos and Facial hair
Does anyone have pcos and have gotten pregnant? Does anyone use a certain cream like vanique or any other product that helps or gets rid of facial hair?

Re: Pcos and Facial hair
I have PCOS and I'm on my first round of IVF.
I pluck, and pluck and pluck. I always have tweezers on me because those chin hairs appear overnight... I swear... they also are thick lil su ckers with really dense roots. Getting my eyebrows waxed last week was soooooo painful and I actually bled because one of the roots was so deep.

I'm a tweezer queen too. I have like 7 pairs of tweezers.
I have super sensitive skin, and have yet to find a cream or wax that doesn't leave my skin red and inflamed and looking worse.

Re: Pcos and Facial hair
I have tweezers at work and home - I am obsessed with the chin hairs from hell!!! I get threaded cuz it's not as bad as waxing - but the lady always is amazed by how much my hair has grown

Re: Pcos and Facial hair
0k....I have to fess up about something. I started getting those chin hairs last year. I have been ttc for 6 mos now and nothing. I have an appointment on Wednesday because I'm over 35.
Could PCOS be my problem???? I get my period normally, but have been having cramping way too many times during the month to be O or AF, so I think something isn't right.

Re: Pcos and Facial hair
Do you chart? The clearest indicator to me about PCOS was that I NEVER had a clear thermal shift. (Well, that and I went 106 days without AF.)
PCOS is tricky because it manifests itself in a number of different ways.
They will probably do an ultrasound on you when you go to see if the signs there too.

I charted for months, and decided to give myself a break this month. I was just too into temping and weirded DH out. I do get a clear thermal shift and have always had one. At least that makes me feel a little bit better, but still....in my gut I feel that something just isn't right.

Yeah, we all need to break from charting now and then. It's surprisingly stressful.
I hope your appointment brings you some answers!

Re: Pcos and Facial hair
I was misdiagnosed at 17 and they missed PCOS. Been going to electrolysis after having to wear scarves for years. Electrolysis has saved me --- be aware that certain lasers cannot guarantee long term loss of chin or neck hair.
