I had my teeth cleaned and x-rayed the day we started to conceive (or maybe a few days before) and I got pregnant on the first try.

Jeez I've been holding off on the x-rays at the dds while trying, just in case.....but this time I scheduled the exam for immediately after my AF. And she showed up....I've been trying for 6 months now so I couldn't keep putting this off.

I think you should continue to live a normal, healthy life while TTC - otherwise you can drive yourself crazy if it doesn't happen quickly.

Unfortunetely there's no diffinitive answer to see if x rays or stress actually hurts the egg itself. I have read though that extreme stress does affect your body as a whole and could possibly affect your egg that month, but there hasn't been enough studies or research to prove anything. There's still so much we don't know about the human body still!

Don't forget- you should definitely go to the dentist and have x-rays before you get pregnant- you don't want to deal with a cavity or root canal while you're pregnant- no novicaine- OWWWW!!!

I am not sure what exactly effects your eggs right before conception, and not to be the bearer of bad news but back in college I took a biology class and my teacher explained how you are born with all the eggs you are going to have, so everything you do in life, drink, smoke, drugs, etc. will effect your eggs. Not that I was the biggest party animal but thats kind of scary!
