healthy appetizers needed
Aside from your standard fruit and veggie platters, can anyone recommend a healthy appetizer to make for a GTG?
healthy cookie/snacks are also welcome!
TIA!

Re: healthy appetizers needed
I get a prepared shrimp cocktail "boat" from Costco - it comes with cocktail sauce and lemon.
I also will sometimes serve hummus with pita wedges, depending on the guests.

Re: healthy appetizers needed
Maybe you could do a tuna salad w/ light mayo and serve it with low cal crackers?
You could also serve low cal crackers w/ low fat cheeses.
A friend of mine takes thin crackers and puts a bit of cheese, cilantro, olives and pepper rings on them and then bakes in the oven for like 10 minutes just to let the cheese melt and its soo good!
ETA you should go to foodnetwork.com and look up recipes one the "Calorie Commando" show or "Low Carb n Lovin It" They always do healthy alternatives.
