How long do dry cleaners...
hold you clothes for?
I dropped off a silk dress and DHs suit Oct 18th. I keep forgetting to go get them. I dont want the Dry cleaner to give them away, let someone else wear them or sell them (obviously I dont know what they do with unclaimed clothes)

I believe 6-months is NYS law, then they donate it to charity

I would guess they hold them for a long time---considering how many clothes I always see hanging in dry cleaners. They can't possibly all be current articles!

Depends on the cleaners. I have left stuff for over a year or two and they never got rid of it 
Other people have told me that their cleaners stick with the 6 month policy. It probably depends on how much storage space they have.

My moms on her way there to see if my stuff is still there. Its only been 1 1/2 months so it SHOULD be there but you never know!

Were you thinking of that Seinfeld episode where the dry cleaner's wife wore Jerry's mom's fur coat? 
I am sure after a month and a half it will be there, don't worry.

my friend got married in 2000 and just picked up her wedding dress at the cleaners! she also left some clothes there back in march and picked them up yesterday, she is so bad!
