How do you communicate with your Real Estate Agent?

I really hate them - no offense to anyone who is one. We're working with one that I really like, but all of the others we've called about listings are just so dam pushy!!! I just got a phone message AND a text from one!!!

So I guess my question is, how do you tell them to back off a bit??? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Just flat out tell them. Actually you just have to tell them that you are working with another realtor.

Yep, then when I found one I liked, I signed him as a buyer broker, so the listing agents were not *able* to contact me directly.

Unfortunately, we're buying but not selling (we're renting right now) and our agent doesn't necessarily represent some of the properties we're interested in seeing. Against my better judgement, I called this one agent that is pretty notorious for overpricing and being so pushy because he had a listing that sounded good. Of course when I called they said the property is under offer, but they had other things, yada, yada, yada. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

That's why I think I'll be a terrible R/E agent. I'm not pushy enough...Chat Icon I'm like "If you're interested, you would be contacting me" kind of person.

We dealt with a few that I really hated. I don't love the one that we are buying through now, but I don't hate her either. I just get tired of the "use our mortgage brokers, lawyers, inspectors, etc." lines, cuz I know it's just that they get a kickback from it all.Chat Icon
