We broke down...
Tonight was the first night we decided no more putting to Alex to sleep on the boob, or by rocking her for 30 minutes. At 5:30pm she started yawning and rubbing her eyes so DH put her in her crib. She started crying, so he rubbed her back and shushed her. She cried like this for about 5 minutes and then fell asleep (A FIRST in this house!!) and now she's been asleep for 15 minutes. We're going to try again later for bedtime... wish us luck!!! We need sleep!!!!

Great news....how was the night??
Miserable failure. We tried to put her down at 8:30pm but she started wailing. After 20 minutes we gave up and brought her downstairs. She didn't go back down until 11pm and I guess she wasn't too happy with us becuase she woke up every hour last night crying. People say it isn't traumatizing but poor little Alex seemed so pitifully sad and just really wanted to be cuddled after the whole ordeal

Aaw, poor Alex. Poor you. You can do it! She just has to get used to the routine.

I don't know if I can do it... and the other thing is that she cried so much that she swallowed air which made her gassy belly even GASSIER, which is part of the reason why she kept waking up. My poor little Alex
