Mucinex and Evening Primrose oil question.

Did anybody or does anybody take these? I have been taking the mucinex pills and also the evening primrose oil for about three weeks now, and I didn't see a change in my CM which is why I think I'll be out this month.

Did anybody have the same thing happen to them? Also, is taking the mucinex pills the same as the liquid??

any insight would be helpful. Thanks!!

Re: Mucinex and Evening Primrose oil question.

I've been taking both actually!

I think the mucinex helped to make my EWCM a little "thinner/watery". Sorry for WAY TMI but my EWCM is always stretchy but kind of thick- I'm still not really sure how it is SUPPOSED to be but I thought that taking mucinex couldn't hurt things- it did make it clearer and more fluid- still stretchy.

The evening primrose oil- didn't notice any changes- but i'm still taking it.

REgarding the mucinex- i think that one tablet is the same as taking 2 teaspoons 3x a day- much easier and it is extended release so the benefits are for all day.

Re: Mucinex and Evening Primrose oil question.

Just make sure you don't take evening primrose oil after ovulation. It can cause your uterus to contract which is not good for implantation.

Evening primrose oil affects the estrogen levels in your body and can give you more 'mucus'....and just like Ariella said, the mucinex thins out thicker mucus to make it a bit more like....seminal fluid. The whole trick is to get the sperm to swim into the mucus and have the ph balance similiar to seminal fluid...that's what will keep the sperm alive longer. Alfalfa tablets are great for akalizing the cm as well....

Re: Mucinex and Evening Primrose oil question.

I use the evning primrose...I was using it up untill O time only...I recently started using it for the entire cycle based on a reccomendation from a herb teacher my aunt works with...she said it could have good benefits during the implantation stage as well. Things like that are purely a personal choice since the effects are not that well known...

Good to know about the Mucinex, I had a cough , and was taking it and I had ovulated when I was taking it and noticed it did change things "down there. " Sorry if TMI. Let's all hope we all get BFP's soon!
Thanks for the info, you girls are the best.

I seemed that I didn't have any EWCM (or I didn't know what I was looking for) so I took both for once cycle and I did notice a very slight change but not enough so I tried preseed. I did get my BFP, but I can't say for sure it was because of that.
