Restore Build It Green Warehouse in Astoria

I saw this on the news tonight. They take construction materials that you were going to throw out and sell them cheaply to raise money for habitat for humanity rather than going in landfill.

You can get toilets, sinks, cabinets, windows, doors, lighting, etc. for inexpensive. Some are used, some are new from projects that didn't happen or were the wrong size for the project.

Thought it might be interesting for people who are handy and redoing stuff in their homes. Might be able to find a lighting fixture or some cabinets to help organize your garage or something for cheap and help out a good organization at the same time.

They also have one of these in Centereach-donated construction and plumbing materials to benefit Habitat for Humanity. We bought a Kohler low profile toilet there for $40!
