Want to visit a friend of the family in jail???
My mom, sisiter and I want to visit a friend of the family at Nassau County Jail. But we are not sure of a few things.
Does anyone know what time the visisting hours are and if there any restrications? I have a few questions but some I feel silly calling up to ask.

I don't know the hours, but don't wear anything with metal, wire bras, belt buckles, metal shoes, they won't let you in and if its a belt or bra, they make you take it off and leave it in a locker. I went there once and it freaked me out to no end and I thankfully have never had to go back!!

My sister also told me that they are limited to the number of visitor per week. She thinks it is three and the three of us at some point want to go. Either altogether or within several days of each other.
Are you allowed to bring the inimate anything; pictures, cigarettes those sort of things.
