That's actually my (pre-marriage) dream--to be swept away by someone on a paradise island and leave everything behind to be with them!

Please She hurt her back and finally just came back from Aruba she had to stay there longer then expected because she was in pain. She will probably be at the church Sunday but not the party.

I know I sound mean but as you know we really don't get along.

awww...Aruba.....My dream is when I retire...to live there or have a home there and be a snowbird.....LOVE Aruba.....

I hope it works out for her. She probably should have known him a little more before reaching that decision but maybe she feels in her heart that this is right person for her. You just have to be there and be happy for her. And this is a great excuse for Andrew and your family to go to Aruba and visit her.
At least she's going to be part of the Christening even though she won't be going to the party.

I would be very disappointed. Is she really in that much pain that she can't deal with it for a few hours so that she can be at her godson's party?? Pretty soon she will hardly see him. Maybe I'm insensitive, but I think that's pretty selfish on her part.

I guess I should be happy for her. I am just in shock. Now I feel bad that I am being so mean.

Don't feel bad. I'm sure once you get over the shock, you will be happy for her and you only want what's best for her. But it's hard to be happy and not to worry about her when it's such a huge thing and it seems so fast. Plus it's hard not to be somewhat selfish and I'm sure you want her around more to be in your DS's life. You're not being mean. You're just venting and that's what we're here for. Complain all you want to us so that you can act happy when she's around.
