Small backyard decorating suggestions?
My brother and his fiance just bought a house (yay ) with a very small yard. It's got some grass, but it's mostly cement and they're looking for decorating ideas.
They have an awning on one part and are planning a BBQ and table for that area, but there's also a side yard area that is more open and sunny. That's really their focus right now.
Ideas?

How about a lounge chair or 2 & maybe a small table....some tiki torches for ambiance....maybe some potted plants!

My parents did large pots of some sort of wild grass along the side of their house, which looks nice. And on the drive way side, my father built some long flower boxes along the side of the house.
I like the idea of contatiners with palnts as sort of a border around the space. They can put pots at an angel in the corner, sort of grouped together, to make it look less retangular ( if it is ) and more natural.

I completely forgot that I even asked this! 
Thanks for the ideas!
I think they were trying to think of some ways to be able to use the space....not just decorating it...does that make sense?
I suggested a hot tub, but they just bought a house, so for some reason don't have extra money to spend right now.....
