Spinoff: Charity Food Drive
Some of the people in my office would like to do a food drive. Does anyone know anywhere in Nassau (we are in Westbury) where we could donate the canned food we collect?
Thanks.

Island Harvest has their office in Mineola, I believe they will take dropoffs of non-perishable food there, at least during the holiday season.

Some of the supermarkets do drives too. I was at Waldbaum's in Carle Place the other day and they had this program, where you can take a brown paper bag, buy the groceries and give the filled bag to the store as a donation.
