Who here uses Long Island IVF...

I just spoke to Dr. Droesch and I love her, she called me back when she said she would and we went over treatment plans and we are starting with our first (actually my #5 or 6) insemination with her, which will be a natural cycle. I am so excited.

Good luck and congratulations. I can't wait to go see an RE. I'm going for a blood test on Thursday to check progesterone levels from Clomid. If they are low, next step is an RE.

I have an appointment with Dr. Brenner in about six weeks. inital appointment. bummed about the wait, but what can you do. my ob sent me for some bloodwork in the meantime.

I'm glad to read good things about the place - does anyone use Dr. Brenner?

They said they would call if they had an earlier cancellation - any chance of me getting in earlier? do they usually get cancellations?

i go to dr. brenner and i love him and the whole staff. i just went through my first ivf cycle and i felt like the whole staff was truly invested in us, they were all very excited when i had made so many eggs and all so disappointed when it didn't work and i felt like all their sentiments were geniune.

they always answered my questions with kindness and patience, even when i called the nurse-on-call in a panic (a couple of times). they always made me feel better, if i was anxious, worried, crying, etc. majority of the time you deal with the nurses, so how they are really matters too.

i had dr. ruman (she was really nice too) for my egg retrieval, but dr. brenner for everything else.

I used them also. I primarily saw Dr, Ruman, but Dr, Brenner did one of my retreivals and Dr. Kenisberg did my last transfer. I can't say enough good things about them or their office staff. I am also happy to reprt that I just gave birth to twins thanks to them.

I've been seeing Dr. Brenner since 1999, before I was even TTC, b/c I have PCOS. We call him the vampire, b/c he's always having me do and redo blood work. Obviously, he's thorough, but he's draining me dryyyyy ;)
Now that I am TTC, I usually go to Melville, but on weekends, I'm stuck in Lake Success. I'm not thrilled with the nurses at the LS office. They seem miserable. There was a chance that I might have to do my own HCG trigger for my IUI. I had never been trained and I had no clue what to do, well on the way out, I asked the nurse (I won't name names), and she actually rolled her eyes at me. I looked at her and calmly said, "I have never done this before, why are you making me feel like I'm an idiot for asking?" She changed her tune immediately.
Other than that, Dr. Brenner is Mr. by-the-book. I have complete confidence in him, but I would also love it if had a more compassionate bedside manner.

I have another question - my husband has not gone to get tested yet. Ob gave me a script. is there any point of him going to get tested before the appointment with Dr. Brenner? woulf they just want to repeat the test? my husband would have to take off work to go now, and is kind of stressed. if he would have to repeat anyhow, i would just say wait

We waited and had the testing done at LI-IVF. I think Dr. Brenner would probably want to repeat them himself.

ok, another question. should i be calling them to see if thye have cancellations? do they get cancellations? they put me on a wait list - but should i still call? thank you
