Group B strep?
has anyone tested positive and deliviered their baby? I just found out My results came back positive./..I am really upset I know it is not a big deal, but i heard it could be deadly and cause illness to the baby and t hat scares me so much.

Don't freak out hun. It's very very common. I had it and my daughter is fine. They just need to know so they can give you antibiotics during and after delivery. Half of my birth club on pregnancyweekly.com was positive.......Good Luck!

This is true, I had it also. Dont worry they give you antibiotics when you get to the hosptial and after the baby is born. My DD had to get it also in the hoptial just to make sure she was ok.

I know it is nothing bad but just to hear positive...I got a little upset. I mean I have been blessed with a wonderful pregnancy so I really can not complain...It helps to hear people have it and get through it. Thank you so much.

I also tested positive,
and its really nothing to worry about even though we always do,
My boy was perfect
and birth went very smoothly.

I had it and really never even gave it a second thought...they give you antibiotics in the hospital and everything is fine.

very common. I had it and baby and me are fine. Just meant had to go straight to the hospital when my water broke and get IV antibiotics.
