Dear LIRR...

I was all about feeling positive energy this morning when the nice engineer greeted me with a "What, no running Happy Monday" as I walked into your meat locker of a car this morning I was even thinking of writing a nice letter...

but THEN, I luck out with a cancelled meeting only to run and grab a train with the last three cars with the AC COMPLETELY out of order...I sweltered until Jamaica where I transferred to a five minute late train short two cars...GRRRRRRRRR

BOOOOOO to the LIRR and the MTA...
And you wonder why people do inappropriate things on your train...I can think of an inappropriate thing or two to do to ya

LIRR Is terrible. For 13 wks I didn't have to deal with it and now I don't even want to think about my commute home in this heat...

Hey MTA how about getting some kind of venting system or fan in the subways???

I don't take the train alot, but I was on it this morning and the AC was kickin. I had to put on my long sleeve shirt.

I would have been so uncomfortable if there was no AC.

The LIRR is the worst!!! Either they have the AC cranking when there is a snowstorm out - OR - in the middle of a heatwave they have no AC. They can't seem to get the seasons right for some reason.

Okay you think that is bad - I got an old train this morning - the air went out right after pulling out of the station. We get to Jamaica and can you guess - YUP my car caught on fire - I wasn't changing at jamaica - but for some reason the doors to our car didn't open so people had to walk thru - then we are sitting in the station for a few minutes and then people start screaming on the far end of my car - FIRE! SMOKE!!! So the conductor had trouble with the doors and we had to get out on the end with all the smoke. (didn't see a fire - but there was a lot of smoke and the police showed up with fire extingishers). Then they evacuated the entire train and we had to pack in like sardines into the next train that was going to Penn - and not everyone could get on.

Then coming home - you guessed NO air I think on the WHOLE train - people were trying to walk back and everyone was coming forward saying all the cars had no air
