Help! Daughters of Women with Breast Cancer Study

I am a Doctoral Candidate at Fordham University and I am completing my dissertation on the experience of being a daughter of a woman with breast cancer. The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of the mother-daughter relationship and its impact on how daughters cope and on their emotional health. The results of this study will help to develop interventions to improve the daughters' adjustment to this stressor and their adherence to screening.

Participants must:
? Be an adult daughter (18 or older) of a woman with breast cancer.
? Have a mother who was diagnosed no more than 1 year ago and she is living.

Participation will take 30-45 minutes and involves completing several surveys over the internet or by mail. All information will be confidential. A donation of $1 will be donated to a breast cancer organization for every woman who participates.

To participate, please contact:

I would be able to hep if the diagnosis time was over a year ago...not less than. If anything changes and I can help let me know! Good luck with your research.

Wish I could help...my Mom was diagnosed in August 2003, though. Good luck with your study. Chat Icon

Thank you all for your support!!!
Unfortunately, at this point my dissertation committee decided all participants' moms have to have been diagnosed within a year because I want to focus on the short term reaction. If we decide to expand the criteria, I will definitely post. Thanks again and I hope your moms are doing well!
