When someone new comes over from LIW
do you really care what their name was over there?
If they want everyone to know, I am sure they would have said it in their intro. Maybe they just want a fresh start.
I personally don't care at all. I am just glad to see a new face bringing something fresh to the table.

I'm just nosey, I like to know.
I understand why someone would not say who they were on LIW though. After a while, a screen name collects baggage and sometimes you want to leave it behind. A fresh start.

Yes, I am curious of course!! Many of us spent a lot of time on LIWs and even though we might not "KNOW" each other, I think its common nature to be curious who that person was ... esp. if they say "I was on LIWs and now I'm here" blah blah .. wouldn't it be easier to just introduce yourself and say NOTHING if you did not want to associate yourself with your other screenname ?
BUT ultimately if they do not reveal themselves, do I care? .. Um, no.. though I might wonder what the big secret is for or reasoning is behin them not saying who they were

Yes, I would be curious. I would CARE so much as be interested in knowing for the simple fact that maybe I knew them over there and shared something in common with them over there already. Wouldn't I feel stupid to strike up a conversation like I never knew them with the same person that I had already been friendly with over there.
I agree that if you want a "fresh start", then you don't have to say that you came from LIW in the first place.

I do care because there are a bunch of people who I "know" better than others.
So, if one of those people were to post a question, and I knew some background history, I could give a better reply.

ofcourse i would care! if it was someone i knew or talk to on lif that would be great because i have met a few on here and liw and realize we have some things in common. so yes i would want to know what their name was on liw if they changed their name on lif.
